What a great community we have. Thanks to all that came out to the car show and Art in the Park on Saturday. There were lots of great cars and art. We had a great turnout. I hope everyone is doing well after the big storm on the long weekend. So many people went without hydro and internet for six days. Many people are still waiting for their internet to be up and running again. Household Roundup days are coming to Manvers, on Saturday, May 28th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Rolling Hills Public School. Euchre is back at the Pontypool Community Centre, on the last Friday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and games start at 7 p.m. $10 per person. Nice weather is here. Now it is time to get outside and enjoy it. Enjoy the nice trails in the forest by the fire hall, which are great for walking and riding bikes. Lots of people were looking forward to school returning to in-person on Monday, but due to a blizzard, kids did school online Monday. I hope kids got to go out and enjoy the snow. Way to go, Pontypool community. We did it again, and we had a good haul of toys and food from the Santa Claus run. A big thank you to the Pontypool Fire Fighters, along with our Community volunteers and Church volunteers, for helping sort all the donations. Santa is back in town for the Santa Run Food and Toy Drive this Sunday, December 12th. He will start at the north end of town at 3 p.m. Don’t forget your food or toy and meet him at the end of your driveway. Great news for parents and caregivers. The playgroup is back on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will be outside at the Pontypool Nimigom Park. You have to reserve your spot by emailing registration@eoeyc.ca. It is a great group and fun for kids. It looks like 40 will be the new 50 in parts of Pontypool. Keep your eyes open for new speed signs. Many people are reporting ticks on their pets. After a walk or even just being out in your yard, check your pets and yourself.

Pontypool’s first Car Show had a great turnout. Thank you, Gerry Wuis family, friends and all the great volunteers. Thank you, Willowridge, for the live music.
