PONTYPOOL by Coralee MacDonald

Thank you to residents in Royal Estates. What a great thing you did for the community. Way to go to everyone that donated food for the food bank. Great way to give to our community.

Also, Rolling Hills Public School did an amazing job collecting food for the food drive. They collected 1473 lbs. Way to go kids!

Now that it’s hunting season, please remember it is not a good idea to be walking out in fields that aren’t your property. There could be hunters out in those fields shooting bow and arrows or guns. Please be careful. The Pontypool trails by Firehall are safe because its city land. Great news for parents and caregivers. Playgroup is back. Tuesdays 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will be outside at Pontypool Nimigom Park. You have to reserve your spot by emailing registration@eoeyc.ca. Great group and fun for kids.

It looks like 40 will be the new 50 in parts of Pontypool. Keep your eyes open for new speed signs.

Many people are reporting ticks on their pets. After a walk or even just being out in your yard, check your pets and yourself for ticks. Spraying your legs with bug spray before going out on a walk will help. However, we can’t do this for your pets. So please check for ticks after pets have been outside. Ticks can carry Lyme disease.

Stay safe and healthy.
