PONTYPOOL by Coralee MacDonald
I hope everyone is doing well after the big storm on the long weekend. So many people went without hydro and internet for six days. Many people are still waiting for their internet to be up and running again.
Thank you to the fire hall’s in Pontypool, Bethany and Janetville for opening their doors to the public to fill water jugs and charge phones.
The city also dropped off large bins at the fire halls for spoiled food.
It was nice to see how our communities came together to help each other, cutting trees off roads and yards. Giving water to those who needed it and lending generators to those in need.
To the communities with compassion, thank you for everything you did. Thank you to all the hydro workers who worked around the clock. We appreciate all you do.
