There have been some sightings of bears around Pontypool. Please be on the watch when kids and pets are out.
Now that it’s hunting season, please remember it’s not a good idea to be walking out in fields that aren’t your property. There could be hunters out in those fields shooting bow and arrows or guns. Please be careful. The Pontypool trails by the Firehall are safe because its city land.
Great news for parents and caregivers. Playgroup is back. Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will be outside at Pontypool Nimigom Park. You have to reserve your spot by emailing registration@eoeyc.ca. It is a great group and fun for kids.
It looks like 40 will be the new 50 in parts of Pontypool. Keep your eyes open for new speed signs.
Many people are reporting ticks on their pets. After a walk or even just being out in your yard, check your pets and yourself for ticks. Spraying your legs with bug spray before going out on a walk will help. However, we can’t do this for our pets. So please check for ticks after pets have been outside. Ticks can carry Lyme disease.
Pontypool residents in the Royal Estates subdivision are getting ready for Sunday night. Don’t forget to check them out. I hope all the kids have a great and happy night.
