The BOMB a huge success

COLLEEN GREEN, The Standard

SCUGOG: The Bomb Retro '80s Live Experience played at The Town Hall 1873 on Saturday, June 24th to a huge crowd. According to Rob Van Der Vleuten, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist for the band, both the band and the crowd had a great time. It was a real participatory event not just a show.

They are a professional Canadian tribute act which embraces the decade of the '80s, playing all the top new wave and atmospheric radio hits from that wonderful musical era, rather than paying tribute to just one band.

From Bowie to Tears for Fears, Duran, Simple Minds, A-ha and INXS, to The Cars, The Cure, Prince and Depeche Mode (and much more), The Bomb truly do perform "The soundtrack of your youth...Live!"

The Bomb is very active, especially in Ontario, performing at music hall concerts, Rib festivals, private and corporate events and theme nights at live music venues.

If you missed this concert they will be back in Port Perry on Saturday, October 7th. They will be featured at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham fundraiser, being held at the Scugog Community Centre. There will be a cash bar and light food available. Doors open at 8 p.m. This is a 19+ event. To book your ticket go online to https://northdurham.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca/80sdanceparty.
