SCUGOG: From wildlife and wildflowers to scenic landscapes which change with the seasons, residents have another opportunity to showcase the natural beauty of their community, through the third annual Scugog Nature Photo Contest.

The Scugog Environmental & Climate Change Advisory Committee (SECCAC) is inviting photographers of all ages to submit their best images of the plants, animals, and scenery found throughout the township, for a chance to be featured in the 2027 Scugog Nature Calendar.

Twelve photographs will be selected for publication in the calendar, with one standout image earning the coveted cover spot.

The contest celebrates the diverse natural surroundings which make Scugog special, while encouraging residents to take a closer look at the environment in their own backyards and throughout the community.

Entries can be submitted through the Township of Scugog’s online form, where participants must provide their contact information, details about their photographs, and upload their image files.

The deadline for submissions is Saturday, October 31st.

Organizers remind participants, all entries must comply with the contest rules, which are available through the online submission form. By entering the contest, participants agree to abide by those rules.

Residents can submit their photographs, through the Scugog Nature Photo Contest online form on the township’s website, before the deadline, for a chance to see their work celebrated in the 2027 calendar.
