Active COVID-19 cases decreasing in some areas

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: Most local case numbers are showing a decrease since last week.

As of press time, according to the Durham Regional Health Department, Uxbridge still has the highest number of active cases in North Durham, at 39. This includes 37 people listed in home isolation and two people in a hospital. To date, Uxbridge has had 24 deaths and 369 resolved cases.

Scugog has 12 active cases, all listed in home isolation. Since the start of the pandemic, Scugog has had 17 deaths and 299 resolved cases.

Brock Township has 19 active cases, all in-home isolation. Brock has had two deaths and 123 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reports Kawartha Lakes has 63 unresolved cases, 690 resolved cases and 56 deaths.
