Prayer isn’t just for storms, it’s also for ordinary days. I give daily whispers of thanksgiving and gratitude, to God. Life gives us different choices, different ways of life, and presents those who will attempt to distract us and keep us separated from the truth!
This is why we need discernment and wisdom, and need to keep going. It comes down to, a relationship with Jesus is the only thing which matters.
Life offers many choices and challenges. You are the one who makes the decisions, choose wisely. While I was growing up, things weren’t easy, but they were quieter; conversations happened face to face, plus plans were made with intentions. I miss that simplicity. I miss when words were simple and meant exactly what they were, with follow through!
Sometimes, God allows you to go through the fire and pressure not to break you, but to transform you into something beautiful.
While I was waiting for blood work at the lab, a few weeks ago, it was a full house. All were seniors like me. Many were discussing their life experiences, childhood memories, while also exploring their current interests and future hopes and dreams.
I was surprised at how many ladies were interested in learning about technology and art. I mentioned how my daughter can google an appointment with the doctor while I was still on hold with the receptionist!
Seniors enjoy being heard; often they will take the time to share a conversation, a shared memory or the knowledge they have. All seniors have lives, a history, activities, hobbies, families, children and grandchildren they love to talk about.
We grow closer to God in the same way. If you earnestly desire to know God, we must dedicate time, reading and studying and meditating on His Word. We are all children in God’s eyes, living as his children, because of Christ's gift to us makes all the difference.
