Seagrave by Barb Martyn

A golden light at the end of a sunny winter’s day captures a moment of beauty in a glorious sunset, and this occurred on both Friday and Saturday evenings of this past week. The sky was aglow with pale oranges, pinks and yellows, with a hint of slate grey streaks. It makes one stop and take notice of the calmness and beauty of nature.

Sunday, January 10th, was the “Celebration of the baptism of Christ”, in the Jordan River. Baptism is the outward sign of God’s great love for us. It is important to remember that, “We are not alone”. Scripture readings were Mark l:1-11 and Acts 19:1-7. Opal, the ostrich hand puppet, now has another new friend named Roland. Roland is a pack rat and is eager to make friends and learn about God’s love.
