SEAGRAVE by Barb Martyn

September is the month of change. It is a turning point. We have the opportunity to become stronger, more creative, and to gain more confidence in our path forward. September is a new cycle in our lives. God gave us eyes to see the beauty in nature, and hearts to see the beauty in each other. Sincere condolences to Verna Gagnon and family on the passing of Verna’s sister, Victoria Adamson. Victoria passed away, Wednesday, September 9th, in the Cobourg Hospital. Happy Birthday wishes to Lloyd Short on September 19th. Happy belated birthday to Hans Buscher, who celebrated on September 2nd. Nora Groves and Ivan Stone visited Jean and Ross Short on Thursday, social distancing and with masks. The outdoor food banks at Seagrave and Greenbank Churches will remain open every day until Thanksgiving week-end. Take what you need, give what you can. There are masks available in various sizes, made and donated by Isabelle Vernon. The Seagrave Parks board needs help! They need two new board members to prepare for next season. They have support and financial help committed from the township, for three new projects for 2020. So, they are looking for local handymen or women, contractors, etc., who want to volunteer their skills for the odd project. It is up to us to take the time to reconnect with God’s Creation and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Nature can teach us so much, bringing peace and a connection to creativity to each of us.
