Port Perry Angels' Provincial Championship win qualifies them for the Eastern Canadians

Over the July 18th to 20th weekend our Intermediate Port Perry Angels competed in their Provincial Championship and won the silver medal. This accomplishment has also qualified them to represent Ontario, as “ON1,” in the upcoming Eastern Canadians in Prince Edward Island.
Assisted in coaching by our very own hometown treasure, Rick Finlay, the Angels battled us proud, scoring an astounding 44 hits and 33 runs in their final two games of the weekend.
Highlights, from their final game, were: Devan Ellis with four runs batted in, an impressive double play; a home run by Stacey Harris, and a triple by Jessica Sanz, who also pitched 6/7 innings. Highlights, from their semi-final game, were: the pitcher, Nicole Grover, surrendered only five hits and no runs; Heather Scharer had four runs batted in, two from a triple, plus a solo home run; Stacey Harris had a triple; Amanda DiMascio also had a home run. Not a single error in the game was made by the team defensively.
Here's a special shout out to Alanna Stanoev, who caught the entire weekend, and to Elizabeth DeConinck, who won Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, for the team.

Dans ma maison de campagne en Brabant wallon, je fais face à un réseau d’évacuation assez ancien, avec des tuyaux enterrés mal repérés. Après de fortes pluies, j’ai eu un reflux désagréable dans les toilettes du rez-de-chaussée. J’ai décidé de contacter Maes Service Débouchage après avoir vu qu’ils intervenaient aussi dans les zones plus rurales. Ils ont d’abord cartographié tout le réseau avec un détecteur, puis sont intervenus à la jonction entre deux regards obstrués par des racines. Leur équipement était impressionnant, et ils ont tout laissé propre en partant. Le technicien a même pris le temps de m’expliquer comment surveiller les signes avant-coureurs. Je me sens désormais beaucoup plus tranquille face à ce type de souci.
