Pontypool is holding their Santa Claus parade on December 1st at 6 p.m. come on out and have a great night.. If you are interested in entering a float please message the Pontypool Community Center through their Facebook page. Sunday December 1st is breakfast with Santa at the Pontypool Community Center from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pancakes, bacon or sausage, coffee, tea and juice will be served for $5 dollars a person. You can get your photo taken with Santa, $7 or 2 for $10. Support your Pontypool Community by buying a Christmas tree from a firefighter. $50 dollars for a 6 to 7 foot tall tree, fraser and balsam fir at the fire hall. Pre-order via the honour system by sending a request on messenger on Facebook or email this address, Pontypoolfirefighters@gmail.com, with a request that says I would like a tree and your full name. If you are not pre-ordering, trees will be sold on a first come first serve basis, cash only. Trees will be available on December 7th. The pick up time will be announced later on. If you cannot pick up your tree at this time, the firefighters will make sure you receive your tree. Grab your new or gently used mittens, hats and scarves for the annual mitten toss at Bethany and Pontypool United church on December 8th, 9:15 a.m. at the Bethany church and 11 a.m. at the Pontypool church. All items collected will be donated to a local shelter and families in need. Santa is coming for breakfast at the Bethany community hub at 3 George Street, Saturday, December14th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost is $5 dollars per person. Photos with Santa are $5 dollars.
