Noozhoo Nokiiyan Limited Partnership investment creates more opportunities for MSIFN

SCUGOG: We are pleased to announce that Noozhoo Nokiiyan Limited Partnership (NNLP) has invested in Voyageur Services Limited for a 33 percent ownership share. NNLP is a partnership formed between Noozhoo Nokiiyan GP Inc. And the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation (MSIFN) for economic development purposes.

In addition to the direct ownership interest, highlights of the agreement include NNLP having at least one seat on Voyageur’s board of directors, Voyageur locating its head office at the soon-to-be-built commercial office building at MSIFN, the creation of employment and subcontracting opportunities for the MSIFN members and member-owned businesses, direct opportunities for members to enter into various trade unions, the ability to bid on procurement opportunities in large-scale infrastructure projects, and enhanced ability to collaborate with other First Nations to engage in public procurement.
