On behalf of my fellow volunteers at the Scugog Therapeutic Paws team, I’d like to offer a big thank you to Christine and Terry Vos of Vos’ Your Independent Grocer and their staff, for hosting a Therapeutic Paws awareness event this past Saturday. Therapeutic Paws of Canada is a non-profit organization of volunteers providing animal resources for human needs (physical, mental, educational, motivational, socialization) through regular visits to hospitals, residences, schools, etc. In Scugog our teams visit our hospital, Port Perry Place, Port Perry Villa, Westshore, etc… A big thank-you should also go to the many kind and generous Vos shoppers who stopped to donate, meet the dogs and share their stories with the volunteers. Their amazing generosity will enable Therapeutic Paws to evaluate more teams and expand our areas of coverage.
