Iconic Fenelon Falls Seniors' Centre Receives Generous Donation

CHERYL DYER, FFSC

KAWARTHA LAKES: The Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens' Club (FFSC) was selected by the 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes as the recipient of their first charitable donation of the year. This generous donation of $14,550 was received with gratitude by members of the club's executive on March 1st, in Lindsay, Ontario.

The most welcomed funds will be used to enhance and improve the hall facilities at the centre at 58 Murray Street, to better meet the demands and expectations of hall rentals. The audio/video equipment will be replaced and upgraded along with the Wi-Fi capabilities. The improvements will enhance the overall event experience in the venue. The improvements will include the replacement and addition of some furniture and equipment.

"I just rented the Hall last year for a birthday party and Easter Dinner for my family. The price was reasonable. The kitchen was very clean, with lots of room to work in. There are two ovens, which was great for keeping everything warm until dinner was served, as well as two big fridges. I have rented this venue a few times in the past for other celebrations, and I am sure I will be using it again in the future. Don't let the name fool you into thinking this place is only for seniors." stated a testimonial provided by Joann Patterson.

Currently, the hall rental facility provides complete accessibility, ample parking, a fully stocked kitchen, a beautiful foyer and fresh, filtered, circulated air. It is bright, clean, and available for activities of all kinds, workshops, shows, markets, conferences, and celebrations to meet the community's needs. The facility is perfect for those special events, requiring just the right space that is comfortable, open, welcoming, and affordable.

Visit our website, at www.fenelonseniors.com, for information about the venue facilities, rental fees and contact information. Check out the photo gallery or call for a viewing.
