North Durham Nature continues the custom with counts in the Uxbridge/Port Perry area. Participation is fun and easy! Register with Derek Connelly, 905-852-5432, firstname.lastname@example.org, then take part by either doing a Feeder count – stay warm at home and count your feeder birds; or join a group and do a Field count which entails driving and walking to find birds in designated areas, as determined by Bird Studies Canada. The field outing is a full day affair culminating with a pot luck dinner and lots of chatter about the birds seen during the day. www.northdurhamnature.com.
