Saturday, June 3rd

Canoe the Nonquon. Registration at the Latcham Centre, 121 Queen Street, Port Perry on Friday, June 2nd from 6-9 pm and Saturday, June 3rd from 7-10am. Registration fee is $65/canoe or kayak or SUP.

Start anytime between 8-10:30 am Saturday morning. Shuttle vans are available at either Robinglade Park (river only-12km) or Palmer Park (full course20km). Fundraiser for Scugog Shores Museum Village.


Sunday, June 4th

6th annual Hike for Hospice starts at 10 a.m. in Palmer Park, Port Perry. Registration $25-includes t-shirt and BBQ. 12 and under free. 1km or 5km routes. Live music and fun in the park. All proceeds support end-of-life care at Oak Ridges Hospice. For more information go to OakRidgesHospice.com.

Port Perry G-Moms presents Smartypints Trivia. Proceeds to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Winners will be awarded the coveted secret grand prize. Tickets $30, snacks included. Food for Thought Luncheon 10am–1pm, at the Manilla Hall. This month’s speakers will be Janice Nicholls, explaining the joys of Kayaking, then we will learn about a new local business called Two Blokes Cider from Matt and Andy, and lastly we will enjoy pictures and narratives of Jonathan van Bilson’s travels, followed by a homemade lunch. Tuesday, June 20th

The Manilla Hall hosts a Plant and Yard Sale 8:30am-1pm with many varieties of flowers and vegetables available for you to plant in your garden and a yard sale as well was a soggy success.
