Uxbridge Trail Hub Hosting North Durham Business Forum in November

NORTH DURHAM: On Tuesday, November 14th, there will be a North Durham Building Business Forum. The forum which is open to attendees of all age, is happening at the Trail Hub in Uxbridge.

According to the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Manager at Durham Region, Stacey Jibb, this event was created for small business owners and entrepreneurs in North Durham Region.

The North Durham Building Business Forum will begin with “networking time”, giving attendees the chance to visit multiple information tables. At the tables, business support organizations will be present.

These organizations will explain how they are available to entrepreneurs and small business owners. The event will also have many speaking sessions, an optional trail networking walk and a free lunch.

The speaking session will include a talk from the Second Wedge Brewing Co in Uxbridge. They will be discussing “business resiliency.”

A young entrepreneur from Scugog named Zechariah Thomas will also be attending. Zechariah recently got a deal on CBC’s Dragon’s Den.

And there will be an “exciting” keynote speaker, Amy Davies, from Durham Region. Amy will be focusing on “What Employees Want: Attracting, Engaging, and Retaining Talent in a Changing World.”

This event was made possible because the Durham Economics Development Division (Invest Durham) partnering with the three North Durham townships, Uxbridge, Brock and Scugog and multiple other organizations within these townships.
