Epsom & Utica Sept. 21

By Faye Ashton What a fantastic week, weather-wise. Perfect and ideal for any outdoor project to complete. We welcome the autumn season this week, and with cooler weather, we know there will still be some very beautiful Summer weather to enjoy.

Otters' greenhouse has a wide selection of fall plants, perfect to beautify our home. The sunflowers are reaching for the sky and are so bright and beautiful. The sedum is so rich in colour this time of year. It seems more so than usual, and it last so long.

Have you noticed how tall the golden rod along the roadside has become? That and Queen Ann's lace have benefited from all the July/August rain.

Our community conveys condolence to Donna and Ed Eckhardt and their family on the recent passing of Donna's father, Hanover. Thinking of each of you at this sad time.

The Women's Institute is busy planning the dessert and fashion show at the Seniors Centre, Uxbridge, at 7 p.m. on September 28th. Fashion by Wood and Wood, Uxbridge.

Our community wishes Nick, Stephanie, Ellie and Jack Barker all the best in their next adventure in Alberta and welcomes Michael and Kathryn to their new home at the corner of Marsh Hill and Goodwood Roads.

The 4H youth have been very busy showing their calves on Friday evening and again this Wednesday at the Lindsay EX.

Come to worship at Epsom United Church, at 10:30 a.m., on Sunday, September 24th. Rev. EdithAnn will deliver the message with fellowship to follow.
