It’s hard not to complain about this lengthy, very hot and dry spell. I’m sure even if you’re on holiday, the weather is too hot to enjoy being outside unless your property has large trees for shade.
We’re learning today of wildfires in the Kawartha area, something I don’t think I have ever heard of before.
Friday's moon, before Saturday's “Sturgeon” bright full moon, was very red as a result of the smoke we are all experiencing.
I suppose the weather is just right for the cicadas, who are singing loudly tonight.
The grains that are ready for harvest have been combined, and the straw has been baled and put away quickly.
I saw some cut hay being baled today, possibly before it was too dry for food value.
I wish all the August birthday and Anniversary people a special celebration now and for the year ahead.
Summer services at 7 p.m., at Glen Major, will run until the end of August.
The church service at Epsom United starts at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, August 17th. Please note a change in the date from the 24th to the 17th.
