The smell of freshly mown hay is intoxicating this time of year. It’s a signal the preserving of hay for winter use is in full swing.

I checked my strawberry patch, and I will have to wait a bit longer for ripe strawberries. It’s always a treat to go to a salad and strawberry social, reminiscing back to before Covid when the church held them here at the Utica hall.

A sincere thanks for your help for fire victims of northern Manitoba, housed in a hotel in Toronto. Your kindness will show how much others care about them.

Join us on June 22nd at 2 p.m., at the Breadalbane Church and Cemetery, in Utica, for Utica Heritage Day. Do you have a memory of growing up in the Utica area, events you attended at Utica hall, going to the zoo behind Lakey and McGregor store, getting married at either church? Bring a lawn chair and any photos you think will be of interest to this project. We are looking forward to building the history of this very early hamlet in Scugog.

Church is in Epsom this Sunday, at 10:30 a.m. The message was given by John McManiman this past Sunday and Rev. Edith Ann will be presiding this coming Sunday. Join with us for fellowship following the service.
