We are fortunate to live right here where hopefully there will never be a big forest fire of the magnitude that the prairies are experiencing. Our Minister EdithAnn will deliver any clothing, children or adult, any toys and games, small items for personal care etc for the victims of these fires who are housed in hotels near the airport.
The Epsom United Church will be open on Friday to leave items. I know it will be much appreciated. Congratulations to the United Church of Canada as it celebrates its 100th anniversary on June 10th, 2025. The United Church came into being through the joining of the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian churches. Epsom-Utica congregation enjoyed a delicious Carrot cake made and decorated by Diane. Thank you Diane.
Thank you to the Wilbur family, who keep the cemeteries at Utica in beautiful condition for the annual Sunday decoration.
Wednesday, June 11th, brings us to yet another full moon called the strawberry moon; the Algonquin tribe called it such in relation to wild strawberries season.
Join us for Utica Heritage Day. Sunday, June 22nd, an event entitled Memories of Utica, a walk down memory lane at 2 p.m., Breadalbane Church and Cemetery, 555 Regional Road 21, Utica. Bring a lawn chair and any historical photos of people, events and places of interest to Utica.
This coming Sunday we celebrate Father’s Day. A welcome awaits you for worship at 10:30 a.m., at Epsom United church, fellowship to follow.
