It's been a dreary few days with lots of rain and cooler temperatures. Hard for the May flowers to bloom carrying on like that!
Many relatives and friends arrived at Shobrooke in Uxbridge to congratulate Don and Fay Simmonds on the occasion of their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Don and Fay lived many years in Epsom in the beautiful yellow house corner of Reach and Marsh Hill Road. Their children attended Epsom Public School and are all a source of pride for their parents. Don and Fay have their stamp on many projects, always for the betterment of mankind. Congratulations from your Epsom neighbours. It was a pleasure to have a chat with Don's mother, Barbara Simmonds, who now lives at Douglas Crossing. Barb and David Simmonds lived many years on the 8th concession, and most of their family were educated at Epsom Public School.
This past week we said goodbye to Diane Nottingham, Mabel Searle and Shirley Anderson Chilton, all who were known by many in the Epsom area.
Don't forget the Utica decoration on June 8th. There is no service but the cemetery is open and the board welcomes you to decorate your loved ones resting place. Pat Kerry is treasurer of the Cemetery Board.
The Breadaldane cemetery board welcomes you to their annual decoration service on Sunday June 1st at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Rob Kennedy will conduct the service. Church this Sunday at Epsom with Rev. Edith Ann presiding. Come and worship at Epsom.
