Meteorological Winter on December 1st and that white stuff arrived this past week making Christmas seem closer. Watching our great-grandchildren playing in the snow brings back fond memories of our younger years too.

We are saddened to notice the death of Doreen Evans Picket (Low and Low) this past Wednesday. The Wilfred Evans Family farmed north of Epsom, on the Brock Road now Marsh Hill Road. Doreen was one of the triplets (Doris and David), who had their schooling at Bethesda Public and Port Perry High School. Our condolences to her children Kim, Mervin and Patty and husband the late Thomas Pickett.

We acknowledged Peace, the second Sunday of Advent this past week. If only there was Peace. The world is counting on each one of us to be peaceful in all we do.

This Sunday's Church Service is at 10:30 a.m., in Epsom. A Christmas Eve Service is planned for Sunday, December 22nd, at 2 p.m. Come and celebrate.
