Epsom & Utica news

by Faye Ashton

September is one of the most beautiful months for temperature and beauty. I hope all of us can take time to enjoy each day. Apparently, September 1st is the meteorological start of autumn. Seems we have a habit of trying to rush everything along lately.

For everyone with a birthday and anniversary in September, we wish you all the best for the day and year.

The Port Perry fair is over for another year but I'm sure some records have been broken in fair attendance and perfect weather. Thanks to the multitude of volunteers who help put this event together and see it through. Now for some much-needed rest for a job well done.

This weekend, we're looking forward to the autumn fair for Uxbridge. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for the weather to be as perfect as last weekend. It's sure to be a great event!

I hope your gardens have blessed you with a summer of tasty vegetables and beautiful flowers to enjoy. The weather has been perfect for growing although it was stressful for getting crops in from the field. Many enjoyed a Stearman family reunion at the Kerry farm recently. Some travel from locations in Alberta and from around Ontario. An awesome time was spent by everyone together.
