Epsom & Utica news

by Faye Ashton

March, will it be in like a Lamb and out like a Lion? We can’t predict the weather anymore.

I wish all who are celebrating their special day this month, many happy memories.

The Ontario County Holstein club held their annual banquet and fun auction last Friday at the Scugog Community Centre. The Durham West 4H club and many other dairy producers were recognized for their contribution to the industry. The delicious roast beef dinner and multitude of delicious desserts was catered by Mary’s Country Kitchen. A fun time was spent as many items were auctioned off by Carl Phoenix.

From this community we send our sincerest sympathy to the family of Reg Templeman, his wife Edna and daughters Jean, Jessica and families on his recent passing, a loving husband and father.

The school students will enjoy a March break this coming week

A breakfast is planned on Good Friday, at 10 a.m., at Epsom United Church in support of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank Project. A free will offering will support a crop (corn) which will soon be going in the ground to help aid world hunger.

Church will be held at Epsom United Church on Sunday, March 10th, at 10:30 a.m., and fellowship to follow
