Epsom & Utica news

by Faye Ashton

Happy Valentine's Day to all who receive this newspaper on Wednesday. I hope we can carry on that love of one for another as each day passes this year.

This past week, on February 6th, we said goodbye to our dear friend Lorraine Brown. Lorraine has resided at Butternut Manor for the past nine years. Lorraine, Ron and their family came from Toronto, back in the very late 60's to live on Medd Road and joined in the community festivities. Lorraine and Ron's family, daughters Shelly, Melody, Kimberly, Stacey and sons Chris and Steve enjoyed life here, raising poodles and a host of furry friends. We will all miss your loving spirit Lorraine.

We are entering the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday this week and journey on to Easter at the end of March.

There is no church service this Family Day weekend at Epsom United Church but do come to church on February 25th as we gather again for worship and fellowship.
