It’s Sunday, June 21st, the longest day of the year. It was beautiful, minus the strong winds we have experienced lately, sunshine and no prediction of rain even. The farmers went full tilt with three clear days without rain. Hope it holds a bit longer.
There are many graduation ceremonies as students of all ages move on to the next class or higher education. Nothing can top little 4-year-olds moving from pre-school to junior kindergarten, so small, so excited to receive their diploma, so privileged to be there at Good Shepard.
It was a fun, happy 1st birthday for Rowan as his parents, Jack and Kaitlyn, held a party for relatives and neighbours on the 7th concession (Medd) on Saturday afternoon.
I hope all fathers were showered with love and gifts as families celebrated Father's Day on Sunday.
We enjoyed the delicious pig roast and strawberries at Mount Zion United church Saturday evening. The meal, the guitarist, friends and the June evening were perfect.
This community sends love and prayers to the Mustard family following the loss of their robot barn and some animals in a fire last Wednesday night. The farming community and neighbours were there to lend a hand and lessen the burden of this disaster.
Looking ahead to July 1st, we think of the privilege of living here in Canada and celebrating the freedom and the vastness of this great land, and the wealth of each community we share. HAPPY CANADA DAY.
