Well, wasn’t that a Summer/April? We enjoyed several days of 28-30 degree temperatures with the illusive winter sun shining down on us. There’s talk of snow for the coming week, but it won’t last long as the ground has warmed somewhat.
The farmers got their first land work and some planting done too. I’m sure die-hard gardeners put some cold weather seeds in the ground because who can wait with those temperatures?
The community wishes Faye and Jim Gourlie many more years of happiness on celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary on April 20th. Jim and Faye have lived and raised their family in Epsom for most of those years. Congratulations.
The community was saddened to hear of the passing of Keith Bacon. Sincere sympathy to his wife Carole and their family.
Several from our community attended the funeral in Barrie, on Saturday, for Dr. Tim Henshaw. Tim was involved in herd health on many area farms and strongly advocated the 4H program. A life taken too soon; he will be so missed.
As we move through the Easter Season, this is your invitation to join the congregation at Epsom United Church this Sunday, April 23rd, at 10:30 a.m., for worship with Rev. Edith Ann presiding, fellowship to follow. There will be no service at Epsom United Church on April 30th, but we will be back on May 7th.
