The Bethesda-Reach Women’s Institute (WI) meet at Epsom United Church this Wednesday evening November 27th at 7:30 p.m. The Topic is Education with Sandy Churchill, specifically on trees. Save the date for the annual Spring Luncheon and fashion show on Tuesday April 14th. Thank you again to all who contributed toward the 31 purses that were delivered to Lindsay from this community. On Friday evening the 4H Award evening was celebrated at Sandford Hall beginning with a delicious roast beef meal. If you are not familiar with 4H, here are the clubs involved this year… Cloverbuds (little tykes up to 10 years), Lawn tractor pulling club, Exchange club, Plowing club, Beef club, Clipping club, Beaverton, Port Perry, Sunderland and Uxbridge Dairy Clubs, Vet Science Club and sometimes a Chicken club, Rabbit club, Sewing and Baking club. If your child would be interested in finding out more about 4H when it resumes in the Spring, the Rob Ashton family or Wendy Meek family can provide information. Congratulations to the 4Hers that excelled at the Royal Winter Fair. Congratulations to Mariah Beckett and her calf winning Grand Champion in the 4H Dairy Show. On Wednesday evening, November 27th “light up” Hillman Cemetery will occur from 5 to 10 p.m., with candles available at the Utica United Church. This Sunday December 1st is the first Sunday of Advent and the beginning of a new church calender year. Come and worship together at Epsom United Church at 10 a.m. as the Christmas season begins. The Community Christmas Pot Luck meal at Utica Hall on Sunday December 8th, at 6:30 p.m., is fast approaching. Hope to see you there.
