Epsom and Utica news

by Faye Ashton

How mixed-up can the weather be? One good thing for those hoping to get another run of sap, the below zero temp tonight will start the flow one more time.

Hope all the families on March break are enjoying all the extras events planned.

I remember when Rob was in hockey, there were always tournaments scheduled for March break keeping one of us in the family busy running to arenas and the other doing farm chores. Those days are long past now.

We were sad to hear of the passing of Lynda Cummings husband, Harry Littler. Lynda lived with her parents and nine siblings across from Epsom Public School where they all attended. Our sincere sympathy to Lynda and to her friend Darlene Christie.

We hope you will plan to attend the breakfast in support of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank Project at Epsom United Church, on Good Friday, at 10 a.m. A free will offering will aid in helping plant this years corn crop.

This Sunday, the fifth Sunday of Lent will be celebrated at Epsom United Church, at 10:30 a.m. Fellowship will follow the service led by Rev. Edith Ann.
