Durham Regional Police accuse Scugog man of sending sexual messages to teenage girl

SCUGOG: On June 3rd, the Durham Regional Police Service detained 36-year-old Nicolas Frangani after the latter sent online messages to a girl with sexual intentions. He was arrested shortly after a search of his home in Scugog. The girl in question was allegedly 14 years old. The man's online usernames were 'SingleDad' and 'dalton_fwb'.

Mr. Frangani is being charged with Luring a Person Under 16 By Means of Telecommunication for the Purpose of Facilitating the Commission of Sexual Assault, Luring a Person Under 16 By Means of Telecommunication for the Purpose of Facilitating the Commission of Sexual Interference, Luring a Person Under 18 by Means of Telecommunication for the Purpose of Facilitating the Commission of Making Child Pornography and Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child Under 18 for the Purpose of Facilitating the Commission of Making Child Pornography. He is currently being held for a bail hearing in light of the incident.

DRPS expressed concerns about other potential victims, advising them to come forward with information.
