Bring the children out for a fun time on Saturday, July 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the three Brock libraries [Beaverton, Cannington, Sunderland]. They will need adult supervision. There will be puzzles, board games, and a fun scavenger hunt for participants to enjoy! This occurs on the fourth Saturday of the month. For more information, call 705-426-9283.
Also on Saturday, July 26th, in Bobcaygeon, there are several free events to consider. The public libraries are hosting a Cactus Rock Painting event on Saturday, July 26th. This free, hands-on workshop for kids aged 4 to 10 involves creating painted Rock cacti.
The Ontario Open Fiddle and Step Dance Contest is in Bobcaygeon on July 25th and 26th. This is the 55th Ontario Open Fiddle and Step Dance Contest. This event starts at 5:30 p.m. and ends on July 26th, 11:30 p.m. The location is 49 Mansfield Street, at the Bobcaygeon Curling Club.
There is also the wonderful Bobcaygeon Farmers' Market on July 26th, which runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Settlers Village, 85 Dunn Street, in Bobcaygeon. The vendor lineups are so amazing. There will be a wide variety of items, including fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, cut flowers, jewelry, freeze-dried candy, honey, beeswax products, baked goods, preserves, and jam, as well as plant-based soaps, organic and gluten-free breads, pretzels, pies, muffins, cakes, and cookies.
