This is a busy week for many families as students, teachers, and administrators head back to school. Wishing all of you a wonderful 2025-26 academic year.
Congratulations to everyone who helped make the 158th Blackstock Fair a great success. The Blackstock Agricultural Society works hard to make this one-day fair available to everyone in the community by offering free admission. We can do this thanks to our sponsors as well as proceeds from our Truck and Tractor Pull and Demolition Derby. The number of volunteers (many of whom were young adults) who showed up on three different days to help with setup and cleanup was amazing! What a supportive community we live in. This summer, we invested in new signage to promote Platinum and Gold sponsors. Unfortunately, the sign for Martyn Mini-Hoe went missing after the Derby. If found, please return to 3170 Bradburn Road.
The annual St. John's Cemetery Decoration Day Service will be held at the cemetery (north side of Edgerton Road) on Sunday, September 7th at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Kathy Firth will lead the service. Please bring lawn chairs. Rain location: Blackstock-Nestleton United Church.
