Calling all amateur photographers! The Blackstock Fair has a fun photography section for you to enter with a chance of winning some money. The following is a list of the classes for our 2025 fair on August 23rd:
1. Through the Window 2. Look Up! 3. Winter Fun 4. Leaves, leaves, leaves! 5. This is Canada 6. A Creek 7. Spring Flowers 8. Harvest Scene
For youth, ages 18 and under: 1. Something Green (digitally enhanced) 2. Farm Animal(s) 3. Close-up of a Flower 4. It's Raining
There are also Specials, open to all ages: 1. A Picture taken at Blackstock Fair (include year if possible) 2. Old vs New (2 photos, mounted on 8 1/2x11 paper) 3. Photo taken at night. So, get those phones/cameras out and start taking pictures!
Looking to update your perennial beds or just looking for a special new addition to your gardens? Then the Blackstock United Church's Annual Perennial and Plant Sale is this Saturday, May 10th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Blackstock-Nestleton United Church, 3483 Church St., Blackstock. As well, if you would like to book a spot at the yard sale, please contact Kelly (905-986-4917), Sandy (905-986-5435) or Janet (905-986-0693). Barbecued hotdogs and pop will be available for lunch for just $5. Proceeds from this year's sale will be given to a local charity. Donations of perennials will be accepted at the Church on Friday betweem 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.
