BLACKSTOCK by Tammy Phillips

Sincere condolences to all family and friends of Joyce Kelly who passed away on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 in her 88th year. Joyce will be remembered for her sweet nature, her gentle way and her kindness to others. She enjoyed being with her family and she was loved in return. She had many friends during her life, from all points across the country through her many adventures and volunteer positions. Joyce was the voice of many horse and tractor pulls. She enthusiastically devoted her time and energy to many organizations including the Blackstock Agricultural Society, OAAS, COTPA/OTTPA, Blackstock United Church and Women’s Institute. She was always working to improve her community through service, including penning this column for several decades. Joyce was a past School Board Trustee and Scugog Township Councillor.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service was held this past Tuesday.

Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Blackstock United Church Memorial Fund. Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.waggfuneralhome.com.
