BLACKSTOCK by Tammy Phillips
Last year, you may recall that local resident Alaina Malcolm put out a suggestion to friends and residents, encouraging them to place homemade hearts in their front windows. As the likes and shares grew, so did the community participation. The Blackstock community response was impressive, creating a “Heart Hunt” that was fun for both kids and adults.
She recently posted that memory on Facebook, suggesting the community come together again and make this an annual event. This year, officially beginning April 1st, marks the “Second Annual Spring Into Happiness” with a “Flower Foraging” theme.
Join in the fun. Whether you put up a single flower or cover your window in a full bouquet, participating will not only provide an activity for children. It will also give walkers something to enjoy as they stroll around the neighbourhood.
