Virus cases starting to climb in local communities

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: Some communities are starting to see increasing numbers of active COVID-19 cases.

As of press time, according to the Durham Region Health department, Scugog has two active cases, both in home isolation. To date, Scugog has had 17 deaths and 402 resolved cases.

Brock Township also has two active cases in home isolation. Since the start of the pandemic, Brock has had three deaths and 200 resolved cases.

Uxbridge has one active case in home isolation. To date, Uxbridge has had 26 deaths and 494 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, according to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, Kawartha Lakes has 14 unresolved/active cases, 1,284 resolved cases and 58 deaths.
