Virus case numbers ramp up to start 2022 in North Durham, Kawartha Lakes

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: COVID-19 case numbers are at record levels across Ontario.

According to the Durham Region Health Department, Scugog has 119 cases in home isolation as of press time. To date, Scugog has had 431 resolved cases and 17 deaths.

Uxbridge has 167 cases in home isolation. Since the pandemic’s start, Uxbridge has had 26 deaths and 537 resolved cases. Brock Township has 52 cases in home isolation. To date, Brock has had three deaths and 233 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, according to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, Kawartha Lakes has 410 unresolved/active cases, 1,470 resolved cases and 58 deaths.
