Up-and-coming rock band comes to Uxbridge

UXBRIDGE: NEARDAWN, an up-and-coming rock band, from Uxbridge, is eager to break into the music industry, with their unique style and musical talent. Meeting at a Voices of Youth Open Mic event, in Uxbridge, in 2024, the original members, Bennett Revesz, Ben Bowen and Liam Dziedzic (shortly joined by Kieran Pratt), recognized what a great dynamic they had on their instruments and merged to create Neardawn.
Their band name, NEARDAWN, reflects the inner change discussed in the music they play and the original pieces they write. As a band, they contribute equally to song creation, sometimes letting the lyrics take the lead and add impact, as in their song Too Soon Too Late, which focuses on mental health. Live performances and life experiences bleed into their songwriting, inspiring what NEARDAWN describes as a ‘Natural’ feel for how they perform. Vocalist Bennett Revesz stated, “We play a range of music within the rock genre, writing within a rock/jazz influenced style. We came into this current style of writing from our experience covering bands, like The Tragically Hip, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Alexisonfire and Big Wreck.”
Although NEARDAWN has been playing with original and new members (Levi Hartle and Parker Cochran) as they navigate high school and post-secondary school, they have a similar goal: to market themselves, so they can be known in the music industry and continue to have direct fan engagement, bringing their songwriting and performances to the next level. Song recording / producing is on the horizon, to help them reach larger audiences and share their love of music. They have been performing at festivals and music events across Ontario, with a new performance scheduled at The Second Wedge, Uxbridge, on October 23th.
NEARDAWN contributes all facets of live performances, from the physical notes of the music to crowd engagement, as motivation to share their music with the world. Most importantly, they credit their momentum and success, thus far, to the strong connection they have with each other. “Music is our lives, and without proper connection to your bandmates, you will not be able to fully immerse yourself in all of its beautiful capabilities. We love how rewarding being together, making music is.” explained Bennett Revesz.
