SCUGOG: Effective 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 the province moves to Modified Step Two of the Reopening Plan. The plan provides guidance and additional restrictions in response to increasing numbers due to Omicron.
Scugog indoor recreational amenities and programs will be closed. Scugog municipal services will move back to virtual options in addition to online options and the document drop box currently available. Though virtual and online options are the preferred options, select municipal administration services will be available in person by appointment only. Appointments can be made for select services, with a maximum of 2 people permitted to attend a single scheduled appointment (no walk-ins please): Clerk services such as marriage licences, commissions Finance services such as to review the roll book or speak with the tax collector Development services such as planning review, building permit review All inspection requests or alternative solutions for inspections for occupied buildings shall be approved by the Chief Building Official. By-Law Services to obtain parking passes, by-law complaint forms or early resolution forms (also available via website or email) Durham Region Health Department water sample bottles and sewage disposal applications can be dropped off in the back hall of the municipal office. Please use the back public entrance to access the bottles and the drop off cooler. Scugog Community Recreation and Outdoor Amenities Scugog Community Recreation Centre and Blackstock Recreation Complex are closed for recreational programming All ice rentals will be cancelled, and refunds will be processed Outdoor recreational amenities are permitted and must adhere to health protocols Other recreation space will be used to facilitate the vaccination clinic
Community Halls, Meeting Rooms and Events Closed except for the purpose of delivering or supporting mental health support services or addictions support services, so long as no more than 10 people are permitted to occupy the rented space Prince Albert Hall – expected to continue use as a COVID-19 screening centre Vaccination clinics will continue
