SCUGOG: Scugog Mayor Bobbie Drew is urging residents to continue their efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. At a recent meeting on Monday, November 16th, Mayor Bobbie Drew spoke about how, despite case numbers remaining low in the township, residents still need to be cautious. “The numbers are creeping up of COVID-19 in Durham. Not so much in Scugog, and we are very thankful for that. I must caution everybody not to be complacent. I know there is fatigue out there with [COVID-19] and all the restrictions, but we still have to remain vigilant. We all know what those rules are, I don’t need to repeat them,” Mayor Drew stated. Durham Region was recently placed in the red restriction section of the province of Ontario’s framework.
