KAWARTHA LAKES: Please see below for a collection of stories related to Reembrance Day ceremonies in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

LINDSAY: Residents of Lindsay will have several opportunities to honour veterans and remember those who served and sacrificed for Canada during Remembrance Day activities organized by the Sir Sam Hughes Branch 267 of the Royal Canadian Legion.

The commemorations begin Sunday, November 8th, with Rucksack for Remembrance, a community walk organized by the Lindsay Legion to honour veterans.

On Wednesday, November 11th, the community is invited to attend the annual Remembrance Day ceremony. A formal parade will depart from the Lindsay Legion, located at 12 York Street North, at 10 a.m., proceeding to the Lindsay Cenotaph outside the Public Library at 190 Kent Street West.

The main Remembrance service will begin at 11 a.m., allowing residents to gather, pay tribute to veterans, and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to Canada.

After the ceremony, a community lunch will be hosted at the Lindsay Legion, giving residents a chance to come together.

The commemorations will continue Thursday, November 12th, with a Sacred Grief community remembrance and reflection gathering at Riverside Cemetery and Crematorium, located at 347 Lindsay Street South. The gathering begins at 6:30 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to take part in the events and join the community in honouring the courage, service and sacrifice of Canada's veterans.

FENELON FALLS: Residents of Fenelon Falls are invited to attend the community’s Remembrance Day observances on November 10th and 11th, organized with Royal Canadian Legion Branch 238.

The annual Candlelight Parade and Tribute takes place Tuesday, November 10th. Community members will assemble at the Fenelon Locks at 7 p.m., and the parade will depart at 7:30 p.m. Participants will march up Colborne Street to Francis Street West, concluding with a commemorative service at the cenotaph.

On Wednesday, November 11th, the community is invited to gather at the Fenelon Falls Cenotaph, located at 15 Market Street beside Canada Post. The arrival window for attendees and community wreath sponsors opens at 10:30 a.m., ahead of the main Remembrance Day service at 11 a.m.

Following the ceremonies, the Fenelon Falls Legion, Branch 238, will host cocktails at 5 p.m., followed by a roast beef dinner at 6 p.m. Dinner tickets are $25 and available in advance at the Legion bar.

The ceremonies allow residents to honour veterans, remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and reflect on the freedoms enjoyed today.

BOBCAYGEON: Residents are invited to gather at the Bobcaygeon Cenotaph on Wednesday, November 11th, to honour the men and women who have served and sacrificed for Canada.

The public is encouraged to arrive at the Cenotaph area by 10:30 a.m., ahead of the official Remembrance Day service, which begins at 10:45 a.m.

Following the outdoor ceremony, residents are invited to the Bobcaygeon Legion, located at 96 King Street, for light refreshments and fellowship.

The annual observance brings the community together to pay tribute to veterans and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.
