KAWARTHA LAKES: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid new charges, against a suspect, following an incident at an Omemee apartment in July.
In a press release, the Kawartha Lakes OPP division explained, on July 2nd “at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers received a disturbance call at an apartment building in Omemee. Four people were located [with injuries] and transported to hospital. One person was arrested.”
The suspect is facing three counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a weapon, one count of failing to comply with probation, and one count of failing to comply with an Undertaking.
Two “previous Aggravated Assault charges” were upgraded, according to the OPP.
The OPP stated the suspect “will not be named in order to protect the identity of the victims.”
