Ontario Woodlot Association hosts Forestry Fellowship Evening featuring a talk on Ice Storm Recovery

KAWARTHA LAKES: The Kawartha Chapter of the Ontario Woodlot Association invites woodlot owners, forestry professionals, and members of the public to an evening of connection and conversation at its Forestry Fellowship Evening, held at Auk’s Lodge, Fleming College – Frost Campus on Wednesday, April 23rd.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a BBQ, forest-inspired desserts, a cash bar, and time to connect with other members of the woodlot community. A donation jar will be available by the BBQ for those who wish to contribute toward covering costs from the cancelled Woodlot Expo due to the recent ice storm. Attendees can also participate in a looney auction, silent auction, and a special cant hook raffle sponsored by Wood-Mizer. Please bring cash for raffle entries.

At 7 p.m., guest speaker Jacob Outram will deliver a talk on Ice Storm Recovery for Your Trees, offering practical advice on managing storm-damaged properties. A Question and Answer session and prize draws will follow.

The event will take place at Fleming College – Frost Campus, at 200 Albert Street South, in Lindsay. Attendees are asked to enter through the main doors of the college and follow the signs to Auk’s Lodge.
