Oak Ridges Hospice benefits from Art Auction

DURHAM/KAWARTHA LAKES: The Right at Home Realty Office, located at 237 Queen Street in Port Perry, recently hosted an Art Auction to benefit the Oak Ridges Hospice, showcasing a stunning collection of 144 pieces of art ranging from paintings and sculptures to photography, jewellery, wood, and fabric art.

The event featured works from 61 talented local artists from Durham, York Region, and Kawartha Lakes. Realtors concluded the auction with an Artists' Reception on April 6th, allowing the public to meet the artists and learn more about their creative process.

Through successful online bidding and a Split-the-Pot fundraiser, the event raised an impressive $5000, bringing the total donation to the Hospice over the past two years to $8000. The generosity of volunteer Realtors and artists, who donated their time and between 20 and 100 percent of their sales to the cause, made this achievement possible.

The Oak Ridges Hospice, known for providing hope and comfort to the community through compassionate end-of-life care, will benefit greatly from this contribution.
