SCUGOG: The Port Perry MoJacks continue to finish on the wrong side of the scoreboard, recently extending their losing streak to six games. The latest losses come at the hands of the North Kawartha Knights and the Clarington Eagles.
The MoJacks played the Knights in North Kawartha, on Saturday, October 16th. Less than 13 minutes into the first period, the Knights scored the first goal of the game. About a minute and a half later, though, the MoJacks tied the game with a goal from Riley McBride.
But, the Knights then scored three straight goals in the second period, to put Port Perry behind 4-1. Neither team scored in the third period, and the MoJacks fell to the Knights.
There was no rest for the MoJacks, as they had another contest against the Clarington Eagles at Scugog Arena, on Sunday, October 17th. Prior to puck drop, the MoJacks paid tribute to longtime equipment manager Denny Martyn, who passed away recently.
The Eagles were the only team to get on the board in this game. They scored two goals in the first period and one in the second period, defeating the MoJacks 3-0.
In seven games, the MoJacks have a record of one win and six losses.
One Timers:
Only one game for the MoJacks this weekend. Port Perry will host Little Britain at Scugog Arena, this Sunday, October 24th, at 2:25 p.m.
