Dear Editor,
On March 20th, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 419, held a food, bottle and can drive, in support of Operation Scugog, which was a great success on such a beautiful day.
Special thanks to: the Scugog firefighters for their overwhelming help; to the Ladies Auxiliary; to Tony Buxcey for the loan of his truck, which was filled ten times with cans and bottles; to Everett Doupe for his trailer that was filled with non perishable food and delivered to Operation Scugog Food Bank later that afternoon.
Special thanks to the children who delivered their food donations.
A BBQ was held and enjoyed by many people with thanks to the cooks. All donations, to the donation jar, bottles, cans, food and purchases from the BBQ, were very much appreciated.
Special thanks to members of Branch 419 and the community, for all the donations and help, for the Royal Canadian Legion Easter Drive.
