KAWARTHA LAKES: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a recent fire in the community of Janetville.
According to the OPP’s Kawartha Lakes detachment, the fire started at an abandoned home on Janetville Road on Wednesday, March 30th.
“Officers were called at approximately 4:45 pm on March 30th, 2022, by Kawartha Lakes Fire, to a fully engulfed abandoned home. No one was injured in the fire, but the damage was extensive,” read an OPP press release.
The OPP has labelled the fire as “suspicious.” Anyone with further information on this incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
