High COVID-19 case counts in North Durham, Kawartha Lakes

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA LAKES: Local communities are still seeing a high number of active COVID-19 cases.
As of press time, according to the Durham Regional Health Department, Scugog has 44 active cases, with 39 people listed in home isolation and five people in hospital. To date, Scugog has had 16 deaths and 229 resolved cases.
Uxbridge has 42 active cases, all in home isolation. Uxbridge has had 24 deaths and 287 resolved cases. Brock Township has 27 active cases, with 25 people in home isolation and 2 people in a hospital. Since the start of the pandemic, Brock Township has had no deaths and 76 resolved cases.
Meanwhile, the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health unit is reporting Kawartha Lakes has 46 unresolved cases, 583 resolved cases and 56 deaths.
